Abstract

This research note contributes with a toolkit that, while focusing on the unique social and ecological conditions of Northern Troms, also offers practical implications and beneficial ideas for practitioners in outdoor recreation, tourism, and tour guide education across other Arctic regions with similar opportunities and challenges. The toolkit covers regeneration of ecological, social, cultural, and economic values covering several topics; more-than-human immersion, cultural revitalization, repair and restore, empowerment and reconciliation, and citizen science projects.
